Breakthrough Community Soup Kitchen

Soup Kitchen

Breakthrough Community Soup Kitchen Program launches in Hamden starting Monday, December 14th from 12-1PM.

481 Shelton Avenue (entrance off Butler Street)

The goal and mission of the Community Soup Kitchen is to help the less fortunate members of our community. This includes helping the elderly, unemployed, underemployed, poor, migrants, and homeless – woman, men and children. The Breakthrough Community Soup Kitchen will provide meals at no cost to guests and it will be sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and also, by the generous contributions of donors and partners. They will also seek funding from the county, state and federal government. Their Mission is simple: to feed people in need regardless of their circumstances. Their goal is to provide healthy and nutritious meals to all that come through our doors. They are committed to improving the quality of life and restoring the dignity of those they serve when providing a meal to any member of our community in need of one. Their Vision is to assure that no one goes hungry, that they also can provide resources to help those in need to recover, restart and become self-sufficient. They will be open Monday-Friday ‪from 12-1PM‬ and will start with prepared meals to go due to the COVID-19 restrictions
