The Friends of the Hamden Library group brings together individuals with a strong belief in the value of our public library. Friends’ tasks range from hosting book sales, running the book store or other fundraising efforts to voicing support for the library by attending town hall meetings and legislative council meetings, or just spreading the word about the great services and value the Hamden Public Library brings to our community.
The Friends Used Book Store, located on the lower level of Miller Library, is a major fundraising effort of the Friends of the Hamden Public Library.
The Friends’ fundraising efforts directly benefit the Hamden Public Library. In the past five years, we have given the Library over $60k to provide funding for:
- Books, CDs, DVDs, and other specialty resources
- Passes to area museums, zoos, and aquariums
- Entertaining, inspirations, and educational programs for children and adults
Consider becoming a Friend of the Hamden Public Library. By contributing, you can make a lasting difference to the Library.
