Looking for Program Proposals

The Hamden Public Library system, as the lifelong learning center of Town, plans programs that encourage diverse groups of people to learn, create and share together. We welcome interest from our community members and experienced instructors who wish to present programs with the library.

Library staff plan programs seasonally and/or two months in advance. We select co-sponsored program requests based on several factors, including but not limited to: support of the library’s mission, community interest, scheduling, and staffing to supplement library offerings.

Please submit your public program proposal at least three months prior to your requested program date.

Our storytimes are led by staff who have extensive training to support early literacy initiatives to foster young readers.

Please note that we have three physical locations and our operational hours vary per location. We are also willing to review programming proposals which may occur at other sites in Hamden.

Please fill out the HPL Program Proposal Form if you are interested in presenting a program.
