Summer Concert Series – Jul. 26th

The DriftersThe Platters and Cornell Gunter’s The Coasters take the stage on Friday July 26th, serving up a triple dose of nostalgia for a party with a purpose, hosted by Darryl Huckaby and Hollywood & DJ SW1. All three vocal groups were formed in the 1950s. The Drifters are an American pop and R&B/soul vocal group, The Platters are an American rhythm and blues vocal group, and The Coasters are an American doo-wop vocal group.

The show will take place from 7PM to 9PM at Hamden’s Town Center Park, 2761 Dixwell Ave with ample free parking. To park, please enter Town Center Park through the Hamden Middle School, 2623 Dixwell Ave. Parking can also be found at the Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Ave.

In the event of inclement weather, information regarding the concert will be available online by 12PM noon the day of the concert.

The Hamden Free Summer Concert Series is presented by the Hamden Arts Commission and is sponsored by Quinnipiac University. The Hamden Free Summer Concert Series is held in cooperation with 94.3 WYBC, Hamden Parks Department, Hamden Public Works, Hamden Police Department, Hamden Fire Department, CERT, and the Mayor’s Office.
