The Hamden Public Library, through use of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, is seeking a social worker to assist in three focus areas:
• Help establish and facilitate wrap around services for vulnerable patrons and residents by serving as coordinator between the library and other Town human services departments.
• Guide library staff in the appropriate development of a safe, supportive environment for such patrons and residents using a whole-person, trauma-based approach methodology.
• Establish partnerships with local school of social work to develop library as a practicum placement site.
