Do you or someone you know want to become a certified teacher? Here is your chance! The Connecticut Teacher Residency Program is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 cohort in one of our regional cohorts across Connecticut. Certification pathways include Elementary Education (grades 1-6) and Special Education (grades preK-12). Resident candidates will be enrolled in rigorous coursework for 14 to 18 months and serve in a paid residency position with benefits in a mentor teacher’s classroom for the duration of an entire school year. Resident candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater unless approved by a waiver. Residents are eligible for a full-time teaching position upon successful completion of the program and certification requirements and are expected to serve as a teacher in the partner school district for a minimum of three years.
If you or someone you know is interested in being considered for the Hamden district, please contact Stacie D’Antonio, Principal of Ridge Hill School at sdantonio@hamden.org.
