Queer Science Conference

UCONN’s  Vergnano Institute for Impact, the College of Engineering’s diversity and outreach center, is hosting its 5th Annual one-day summer conference for LGBTQIA+ high school students and allies in CT to network with LGBTQIA+ researchers at UConn. During the conference, students will participate in science demos, tour lab spaces, and meet and network with LGBTQIA+ STEM professionals (grad students and faculty from fields like chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, ecology, biology, and psychology), and will get tours of UConn’s campus, including their lab spaces.

This year’s Queer Science conference is planned for Saturday, June 6, 2026, and is event is completely free for attendees.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge! Interested high school-aged students can register for the event at https://tinyurl.com/QueerScience2026 or by scanning the QR code on th flyer below.
