Introducing the DEEP Laptop ConneCT Program

Do you need a laptop? In partnership with the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection and the State Library, the Hamden Public Library is now accepting applications from eligible Hamden Library patrons to receive a laptop for free.

Eligible applicants must sign up for and attend one of eleven scheduled orientation sessions, at which the laptops will be distributed. Apply at the Information Desk at Miller Memorial Library.

Please note that a limited number of laptops are available, and applications are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Eligible applicants:

• Are at least 18 years old
• Have a valid Hamden Public Library card
• Participate in one of the following assistance programs:
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • Medicare
  • HUSKY Health (Medicaid/The Children’s Health Insurance Program)

Laptop ConneCT is administered by CT DEEP and the CT State Library. The program is funded by the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus Capital Projects.
