Stress Reduction Research Opportunity

Columbia University and Loyola University Chicago are conducting a research study to examine the effectiveness of an eight-week online stress reduction program in reducing stress for older African American women. Participants may receive up to $500.

Who can participate?

  • African-American females
    • 50-75 years old
    • No history of heart attack or stroke
    • Have at least one risk factor for heart disease, such as:
      o being overweight
      o having high cholesterol
      o diabetes, or
      o high blood pressure, and/or taking medication for high blood pressure
    • Post-menopausal (no period for at least 12 months)
