Town of Hamden Holiday Closings

Town officials want to alert residents and staff of the following holiday schedule changes.

Lincoln’s Birthday: Thursday, February 12th
Government Center, Keefe Community Center, the Senior Center, and the Hamden Transfer Station will be closed Thursday, February 12th in observance of Lincoln’s Birthday, and will reopen Friday, February 13th at their regularly scheduled hours. Hamden Public Library buildings will be open Thursday, February 12th during their regularly scheduled hours.

Washington’s Birthday & Presidents’ Day: Monday, February 16th
Government Center, Keefe Community Center, the Senior Center, all Hamden Public Library buildings, and the Hamden Transfer Station will be closed Monday, February 16th in observance of Washington’s Birthday & Presidents’ Day, and will reopen Tuesday, February 17th at their regularly scheduled hours. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.

Due to the closure of the Hamden Transfer Station on Saturday, February 7th for inclement weather and associated clean-up operations, the Transfer Station will be open, weather permitting, on Saturday, February 14th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Trash and recycling pick-up will not be affected by these holidays.
