The Hamden Small Business Academy (HSBA) is now accepting applications. This free 11-week entrepreneurship bootcamp is designed to empower aspiring and new entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful business.
Offered by the Town of Hamden, in partnership with Next Level Empowerment, HSBA supports participants through:
- Comprehensive Training: Engage in an immersive 11-week program offered during Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025, and Winter 2025.
- Expert Guidance: Learn from experienced facilitators, business experts, and network with supportive peers.
- Ongoing Mentorship: Benefit from six months of business mentorship after completing the program.

- Develop a Business Plan: Learn to set realistic financial goals and manage business functions.
- Achieve Profitability: Build a branding and marketing strategy tailored for success.

Eligibility Criteria
To participate, you must:
- Be a resident or business owner in Hamden.
- Have a specific business idea or recently launched business.
- Conduct initial market research and assess product/service costs and target consumers.
