Library Card Design Contest!

Calling all creatives! Hamden Public Library is looking for new artwork to feature on our library cards! Submit an original design by April 16th to be considered. See full rules and contest guidelines below.

Timeline

• April 16th: Submissions due
• April 17th-22nd: Staff Voting
• April 27th-May 11th: Public Voting on Finalists
• May 18th: Winners Announced

Contest Guidelines

• Must be a Hamden resident/library card holder to win 
• Submissions must be original artwork, not subject to copyright restrictions or ownership by another individual or organization
• No AI generated works 
• One submission per participant 
• Content must be appropriate for all ages 
• Submissions must be in PDF format and match the dimensions and artwork formatting included in the provided Content Design Template
• Submission deadline is April 16th, 2026 
• Finalists are chosen by library staff and then voted on by the public
