A Public Hearing differs from Public Input. For a Public Hearing, a record of the testimony is compiled. During a Public Hearing testimony must stick to the topic of the hearing. Following the Public Hearing, a Public Input session regarding the general business of the Committee will be held. Members of the public should hold comments not pertaining to the topic of the hearing until the public input session.
At the start of the Public Hearing, the Chair will take inventory of the number of people who wish to speak and announce how much time will be allotted to each speaker and the total time for the hearing, ensuring equitable access to the public, with preference being given to Hamden’s residents.
If you are presenting in-person, please record your name and district on the Hearing Sign-in Sheet located at the sign-in table. If you are participating online, virtually raise your hand and when called upon, you will be asked to state your name and district, and then you will be asked to begin your testimony.
