The Hamden Woman’s Club

The Hamden Woman’s Club, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is part of the Greater Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC), both locally and nationally.  The  Hamden Woman’s Club has been serving the Hamden Community for 75 years.  Members share a commitment to service, friendship, and civic engagement and come from a variety of backgrounds and share one common goal – to give back to the Hamden Community – while forming meaningful connections with one another. 

For 75 years, the Hamden Woman’s Club has supported local initiatives, volunteered time and resources, and created opportunities for women to come together in service and camaraderie.  

Throughout the year, the Hamden Woman’s Club organizes and participates in projects that benefit the community.  Our initiatives include:  planning holiday outreach and seasonal giving projects; entertaining and visiting residents in local nursing homes; collecting non-perishable food donations for Hamden families; supporting scholarship programs for local students; and fundraising events that support local charities.  Each project reflects our commitment to helping others while strengthening the spirit of community in Hamden.  Members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of committees and interest groups that support the club’s mission.  

Membership offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact; connect with women who share your values; participate in charitable projects and local initiatives; attend social gatherings and club events; and support programs that benefit Hamden residents.

Meetings:  The first Wednesday of each month, Sept – June, at 6:30 pm – 8 pm at the Hamden Senior Center.
