When a person is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, their family and friends might understand the prognosis, but they can’t understand what the person is actually going through. The Dementia Experience is a unique experience and an opportunity to educate, build empathy and understanding of what a brief moment in the world is like when you are living with dementia.
Participants will engage in typical daily activities while encountering what it feels like to live with dementia during 30 – minute interactive training experience using sensory modifications.
