Library Cards

If you are a Hamden resident, all you need to do is sign up for a card at the Circulation Desk, located on the Main Level of the Miller Memorial Central Library. You must present identification verifying that you are a Hamden resident.

If you are a Connecticut resident, but do NOT live in Hamden, you need to bring a current library card from your hometown library, plus a driver's license showing your current address. With these you may register for borrowing privileges at the Circulation Desk at any Hamden Public Library location. Any questions? Please call (203) 287-2682.

If you lose your card, you can purchase a replacement for a lost card at the Circulation Desk. The replacement cost is $3.00

Hamden residents may use their valid current Hamden library card to check out items at any public library in the State of Connecticut.
